I’m crazy in love…with Jump from Paper Bags!

2 Apr

Made of polyester and/or canvas, these bags look like they came straight out of a comic strip. The line is called Jump from Paper™  and created by Taipei-based design duo, Chay Su and Rika Lin.

Slogan: “Breaks away from boredom and takes you to a playful and imagination tour!”

I’ve never seen anything like this before. Have you? I just LOVE them. Creative, unique, different, colorful, CUTE. Yes. All of the above.

Check out their website for the full line here.

Rainbow Tulle – TLC’s Say Yes to the Dress

30 Mar

A month or so ago I made my boyfriend watch TLC’s ‘Say Yes to the Dress’ with me because it is one of my FAVORITE shows. During the 5-hour marathon, we came across a bride from California with an amazing Tea Cup Style with RAINBOW Tulle wedding dress. I was in love. I wanted the dress so badly, but I don’t think my mother would ever go for something like that. Anywho, I’ve been searching for the photos and found them. YAY!

Check out the quirky wedding, here.

I have both pairs of shades. Love it!

I love the sash and hair accessory!

Fun, quirky, unique and beautiful.

Maggie’s on Market St.

29 Mar

Made a trip to Maggie’s on Market Street in the Woodlands this past weekend. The store is small, quaint and full of treasures. I managed to snap a few pictures while I was there.

Mini candles filled the store

Soap boxes. Great idea for a gift!

Heavenly scents

Another gift idea!

The Little Book of Saints

Plates filled with sayings

Oyster Shell Sphere

Old Fashioned Wine Bottle Openers.

Close-up of their Easter Tree. They had several around the store.

Spring, bounce and hop into Spring Fashions

23 Mar

Forever 21 can be a hit or miss. I prefer to shop online actually. I know most of you like to try things on in the store, but when I walk into ANY Forever 21 I feel completely overwhelmed. There are just TOO many items of clothing, accessories, etc to browse through.

Anywho, I am 100% satisfied with my recent purchases online. I’m even impressed with the quality! FYI this is a Top and Blouse only post. I don’t think I’d ever buy anything for my bottom half without trying it on IN STORE.

Check ’em out. xoxo

Striped Boatneck

The material on this one hugs you just right in all the right places.

STRIPES! Plus it has cute accent buttons on the sleeves and shoulder.

Okay, so the model doesn’t look too happy, which doesn’t help the sell, but I LOVE this top. The material feels great against your skin, PLUS I saw a similar top on ABC’s Happy Endings worn by Elisha Cuthbert. I paired it with dark skinny jeans and boots. Love it.
Also paired with dark denim or a denim skirt. See-through, so you can wear any under T for a hint of color.
Chambray Button up top
Sadly, this one is no longer available. Paired it with a light pair of khakis. My boyfriend loved it.
I like that it is not as heavy as normal Denim Button Ups.
You can’t really tell, but this top is covered in White Roses. Great for Spring.
So, do you prefer online shopping or in-store when it comes to places like Forever 21, Gap, ZARA, etc?

One more thing

Happy Friday – Skincare + Makeup

9 Mar

Not sure what to post about today so I thought I’d share some new products I’ve been using over the past month (Love them all!). I usually stick to my basics (which are on the expensive side), but thought I’d give the drugstore brands a try, too.

There are tons of reviews out there, but mine will be short and sweet.

1. I purchased my Clarisonic mia from ULTA back in February. I LOVE it. Scrubs, deep cleans and leaves your skin feeling smooth and fresh. OK. This one was pricey.

Yes, I bought the Leopard Print one 😉

2. Oilatum Natural Repair – Face Cream. BEST. I’ve been on the search for the perfect face moisturizer. The classics, Olay and Avon made my skin too oily and felt heavy. Clinique was OK. and Creme de Mer is too expensive ($130+), but this one takes the cake. The only problem is that they only sell it in London and I think Canada. One of my friends sent me some from her stash. She frequents London a bit. Thanks, Traci!

3. Almay Smart Shade Concealer with SPF! Don’t be fooled by the white shade when you first apply. It blends with your skin and works better than my Chanel! This is only my second day though. Hopefully I love it forever, because Chanel can be a bit pricey.

4. Fairest Nude by L’Oreal Paris. AWESOME. New favorite colour.

5. Eucerin Original Lotion. Dry Skin Therapy. Perfect for my trip to Colorado. I wish they made bigger bottles.

That’s all for now.

I’m planning on drafting some more exciting posts about makeup, goodies, treats and more this weekend.

Until then…

22 Feb

I joined Pinterest long before it shot up to the top of the social media megasphere  (thanks cousin Melissa!). I enjoyed that not that many people were into it (It’s true. I like exclusivity – my boyfriend brought that to my attention). Anywho, I stopped using it for a while because I hated that it was becoming so popular and refused to follow anyone new (I was one of the firsts!) Now I’m embracing the fact that things that are great will eventually catch on and more and more people will jump on the wagon to join me (and the other + million users!).  All in all, I truly enjoy Pinterest for the fact that is is a much simpler way of sharing what you love with a broader audience than Facebook or those that follow your blog. Plus, there are tons of great ideas out these. So enjoy and share! ❤

So, what do you think? Have you jumped on the Pinterest bandwagon?

Quickie Post – Heart Shaped Pocket

Hello, Darlings!

8 Feb

It’s been a while. This is my FIRST post of the NEW YEAR and we are already in the second month of 2012.  I always get wrapped up in all the holiday hoop-lah and my blog takes a back seat. Anywho, I’ve come across some amazing photos, good times and happenings since my last post, but I’m going to focus on what’s coming up soon for now.

Valentine’s Day!

I know I know, some people cringe at the thought of a “holiday” that markets off of one day to show your true love to another when really, every day you should. But  I can’t help but fall for all the cutesy, lovey-dovey and friendly cards, treats, songs, and colors that go along with it. I mean, c’mon, I’m a girl in love. Even when I was single I enjoyed the holiday.

This year I’m celebrating early with some of my girlfriends in our first “Galentine’s Day” (thanks Parks and Rec!). We are having the ultimate “Girls Night In” packed with girly movies, makeovers, nail polish, treats, gal talk and everything else cheesy-girl-tastic into one night. Oh, there will be plenty of fruity drinks served in plastic glasses decorated with pink and red hearts. On sale for $1 at my local HEB!

Recipe here

Then, February 14 ( just like any other day) the GUY and I will be happily snacking on gourmet pizza, wine and cake while watching GLEE. Yes, I think that’s romantic. It is. Actually, I may switch it up and ask for champagne instead of wine.

Anyhizzle, here are some findings for you to enjoy! I’ll have another one dedicated to sweets and crafts soon!

xoxo, Ari.

1. Paper Straws – Hearts

3. Heart Drop Earrings

4. Kiss Clutch

5. Kiss Me Cardigan (I own this one. I LOVE it!)
